Introduction on the role:
We are seeking talented and detail-oriented part-time translators to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for translating a variety of content related to Crocs products, including product descriptions, marketing materials, website content, and other documentation from English to French. This position will be in the Hoofddorp office working 2-3 days per week as required by the business.
Hours: 16 hours per week
Duration: 6 months (approximately)
Location: Hoofddorp
What will you do?
- Translate written content from English to French, ensuring accuracy and maintaining the original tone and intent.
- Localize product descriptions, marketing materials, website content, and other documentation to fit the cultural and linguistic nuances of French-speaking markets.
- Proofread and edit translated content to ensure high quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with the marketing and e-commerce teams to ensure translations align with brand guidelines and marketing strategies.
- Meet deadlines and manage multiple translation projects simultaneously
Who are you?
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional translation experience.
- Experience in the footwear or fashion industry is a plus.
- Native proficiency in French, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluency in English, with the ability to understand and convey complex concepts.
- Proven experience in translation, preferably in the retail or fashion industry.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Familiarity with cultural nuances and ability to adapt translations to fit the target audience.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
